The MHPOD Program has come a long way from implementing the MHPOD Learning Portal.
The MHPOD Program website provides an additional platform to the Learning Portal for providing content and engaging with Australia’s broad mental health and related workforces. More importantly, it allows us to connect people with other organisations that are developing a diverse range of relevant high-quality, evidenced-based content.
A key part of ensuring that MHPOD is sustainable and relevant is to create collaborative partnerships with other organisations who share our vision. These partners also strive to build the capacity of Australia’s mental health and related workforces by providing free access to high-quality learning material.
Our partnerships are fundamental to operating the MHPOD Program as a national resource. They are based on raising awareness of existing evidence-based best practice material around mental health where possible, rather than duplicating and potentially wasting resources.
Connect with the Mental Health Professionals’ Network (MHPN) to participate in programs aimed at supporting interdisciplinary practice and collaborative care.
The National Networks Program: Join a network to meet with other practitioners from a range of professions, to engage in free professional development, peer support and networking. Over 350 networks meet online and in-person across the country. See what’s available and join to be invited to future meetings.
Online Professional Development Program: This program includes webinars and podcasts on a range of topical mental health issues. Webinars are live-streamed. Register for the next one, or check out the extensive webinar library. Podcasts are released regularly on MHPN Presents via all major podcast platforms, or on MHPN’s website.
Subscribe to MHPN to be the first to hear about new networks, webinar broadcasts and the latest podcast releases.
MHPN is funded by the Federal Government Department of Health and Aged Care.
For more than 20 years, Emerging Minds has been dedicated to advancing the mental health and emotional wellbeing of Australian infants, children, adolescents, and their families. Emerging Minds leads the National Workforce Centre for Child Mental Health (NWC), which delivers a range of innovative, free online resources for practitioners working in the health, social and community sectors.
Resources include e-learning courses, toolkits, podcasts, apps, webinars, workshops and more – specifically to support practitioners working with children, adults, parents and/or families. These resources are developed with the help and guidance of practitioners, researchers and child and family partners with lived experience wisdom.
The NWC is funded by the Australian Government’s Department of Health under the National Support for Child and Youth Mental Health Program. https://www.emergingminds.com.au
Gambling Minds is a multidisciplinary service specialising in assessment and treatment planning for people experiencing mental health issues and gambling harms across Victoria. Our team was established in 2010 in response to research that found a high percentage of patients presenting to Alfred Mental and Addiction Health were also experiencing harms from gambling. The service is funded by the Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation and is part of Alfred Mental and Addiction Health.
