The Knowledge Check quiz has been designed to identify if you are already familiar with the content, concepts and issues addressed in the topic. Generally you will answer two questions per learning objective. Successful completion of the knowledge check quiz equals successful completion of the topic. If you answer a question incorrectly you will go to the Learning Plan. From the Introduction select the next button or knowledge check to go to the knowledge check quiz.

When you answer a question correctly you will receive the feedback "That is correct". Successful completion of the knowledge check quiz equals successful completion of the topic. When you have completed all the questions correctly you will arrive at the Assessment Results screen. Your score will be shown and you will receive the message "Congratulations, you have answered all the questions correctly. You can close this topic and begin the next one." However, if you are interested to work through the topic you may do so.

If you answer a knowledge check question incorrectly you will receive the following feedback "That is incorrect". On completion of the quiz, you will arrive at the Assessment Results screen. Your score will be shown along with a comment that you are not yet competent in all the objectives. Select the next button to go to the Learning plan.

You can attempt the quiz up to 100 times. You can only retry the quiz once you have visited the prescribed learning objectives as outlined in the learning plan. When you return to the learning plan having completed all required learning objectives, you will see a button on the right screen saying "Try Again" . This will take you back to the knowledge check quiz and a different series of questions to be completed. Above the try again button you will see how many times you have attempted this quiz.

The activities have been designed to further explore the content under discussion, to help you think about the issues and try out some of the ideas. They are not assessed although you will get feedback about your answers. The feedback often provides more information. When you select the activity tab you will go to the activity home page. You will see one or more activities listed on this screen. Roll over the activity title for a brief description. When you select the activity you will notice that all the other tabs fade out.

From March/April 2010, a learning support service will be in place as a central point of contact to support users and MHPOD coordinators. This would be an initial point of contact for any issue, whether technical, functional or content-related.

MHPOD is designed to operate in any standard web browser with the Flash plug-in. Very old versions (more than 4 years old) such as IE5 and Netscape are not supported. MHPOD is built in Flash and requires the plug-in for Flash 9 or above. Overall Windows XP/Vista and Pentium 4 or better and 1 Gigabyte of RAM is recommended. MHPOD will operate effectively at specifications down to P3. The complete system requirements (Windows, Macintosh and other operating systems) for Flash are regularly updated on the Adobe site: http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/systemreqs/ The screen is optimized for 1024 X 768 pixels and a sound card is required for video and audio content.
